Brian has over 16 years of management and technology consulting
experience. Brian started his career in Arthur Andersen's
Business Consulting practice in Boston. Drawing on his
expertise in software development and systems architecture,
Brian successfully guided dozens of clients through custom
software development and technology planning engagements.
Brian also delivered software development training courses
at Arthur Andersen's firm-wide training facility in St.
Charles, Illinois.
In the spring of 1998, Brian left Arthur Andersen to start Symmetric Technologies.
Since founding Symmetric Technologies, Brian has consulted in a variety of
industries including financial services, professional services, manufacturing,
retail and distribution. Some of Brian's past clients include Boston Consulting Group,
Highland Capital Partners, The New America High Income Fund, Phoenix Color Corporation,
Massachusetts Adoption Resource Exchange, Syratech and Streamware Corporation.
In recent years, Brian has focused on building large-scale multi-site and
multi-user applications. Brian has substantial experience in database design
and application architecture. He is proficient with several leading tools
and technologies including MS SQL Server, Visual Basic, Delphi, ASP, Java,
JavaScript and HTML.
Brian holds B.A. degrees in Economics and French from
Calvin College as well as a M.S in Management Information
Systems (MIS) from Boston University.

Jeff Foster has over 17 years of experience designing,
developing and managing application software projects.
His development efforts have given him significant exposure
to the supply chain, manufacturing, financial and medical
domains. Jeff has worked extensively with both engineers
and customers.
Jeff has been a critical part of a vast number of software releases, customer go-lives, and website activations. He began his career by leading the development efforts at Computer Interface, a medical office management and research startup. His next role was that of architect for a powerful PC-based set of financial modeling tools for Business Matters, Inc. Jeff went on to lead and manage two development teams at Marcam Solutions, a cutting-edge ERP vendor for the process industry (since acquired by Baan). His recent experience has been in the internet arena, where he has led and managed teams at Tibersoft (eCommerce provider to Sysco, the largest food distributor in North America) and 3PLex (an eLogistics ASP since acquired by Maersk Sealand, the largest shipping company in the world).
Jeff is fluent in all of today's critical development
languages and methodologies. His technology background
began with a decade of C and C++ object-oriented application
development, typically in n-tier and client/server environments.
He has since gone on to design and build products with
Active Server Pages, Java, Visual Basic, Delphi, HTML
and JavaScript.
Jeff holds a BA in Psychology from Dartmouth College.
